A New Toy...

...for the kids. Addi had so much fun on one of these with her cousin Trevin last year that I wanted to get my kids one to play on at Easter camp this year. Of course I procrastinated and waited until the Wednesday right before Easter to finally decide to buy one. I spent an hour after work calling around the state to find one that was in store and did'nt need to be shipped. I finally found one at Ephraim Walmart, so I sent Aunt Tressa to make sure it was what I wanted. When she said it was I loaded up the kids, picked up Tammy and off we went to get our new toy and make a quick visit to Tressa. I actually got this sand buggy for a great price and we got an extra battery so they would have plenty of play time on it. They were so excited when we got home and Grandpa Tracy started putting it together (Trenton was trying to finish his trailer in time for camping so Tracy offered to put it together. Tammy was worried Trenton would be offended, but he gladly accepted the offer of someone else putting it together.) Enjoy the pictures.

These three were way too much help. Trayson and Shaylee didn't want to get out of the seat so he could put it on.

The finished product. Since they couldn't all fit we got Shaylee's 4-wheeler for her to sit on.

They had a great time riding this around at Easter. There were 2 of these bad boys driving around so most of the kids were somewhat entertained.

Easter Sunday

My kids got their Easter clothes from the Easter Bunny. Here are a couple of shots. Busy boy wouldn't hold still very long, and Addi is such a poser that it is hard to get a good shot.

The month of March

Well the month of March seemed to fly by at our house. We started off by celebrating Dr. Suess' birthday with green eggs and ham for dinner. I ended up fixing the kids some cereal because they wouldn't eat it, even though it was Addi's idea to make the green eggs. Then it was off to St. Patrick's Day fun. The kids sported their festive shirts and we just hung out. Our annual trip to St. George was at the end of the month. It was a great, much needed vacation. We swam, ate out, shopped, and ended with a picnic at a park on Sunday before driving home. I swear I took lots of pictures, but I can only find a few.
This kid loved the pool and hot tub. He just couldn't decide where he wanted to be - inside or outside.

You can't go to St. George without visiting Pizza Factory and getting suckers.

Valentine Fun :)

Addi's first Valentine Box (last year we mad bags that looked like elephants with Brooke and Callie because Steph was at the hospital with Bowdee.) I saw an idea on pinterest that looked like a monster. Here is our version. She was so proud of her work.

Where is he?

I lost Trayson the other day and when I came into the living room calling his name I heard a little giggle and found him in a new hiding space:
He thought he was so clever.

Of course Addi had to have a turn.

Bribery

This is the best way to get the kiddos to be good while shopping at the mall.

Only a grandpa

These two love riding the horse at Walmart, and grandpa never disappoints.

Popcorn

These three cannot get enough popcorn, especially at Grandma's when there is a movie going. Can we say spoiled?!!

Strollers

The other night we had Shaylee at our house for part of the night while Clint and Talisha helped get Grandpa Carl to the hospital in Provo. Shaylee and Trayson decided to give each other rides in the doll strollers. It was so cute. The best part was they were getting along.

Uh No!

Last night Addison had a sleepover at Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Tracy's house. She was so excited to go. Trenton told her she had to ask her mom, grandma, and grandpa before she could sleep over. Grandpa and mom told her it was okay, but she had to call grandma on the phone. She ended up calling Tressa's phone to talk to Tammy. The conversation went like this. "Hi Tressa, where's your mom? I need to talk to her. Hi grandma, can I sleep at your house?" This was followed by a huge smile with a look on her face like "I told you so mom." We decided that she needed to come home and bath and pack her bag for the next day before she could go. Tracy followed us home so he and Trenton could hang my deer and move some filing cabinets (which is a whole story in itself). So she packed her bag, got her coat, and told grandpa she was ready to go. Honestly I don't think she could get out of here fast enough. Well, this morning I asked Trayson if we should go find Addi. He looked at me, furrowed his eyebrows and replied "uh no." I guess he is enjoying his peace and quiet.

A New Year!

So far 2012 is off to a good start for our little family of four. Addison and Trayson are growing like weeds, and Trenton and I are working like crazy. To start off Trayson hit the 18 month mark at the end of December. He is definitely 100% all boy. He loves to wrestle with his daddy and anyone else who is willing. He is a persistent little guy too. Trenton has been putting a lot of hours into building a trailer with dad, so he has been getting home later than usual. I have been trying to stay on a schedule with the kids so by the time Trenton gets home the kids and I have usually already eaten. Well by this time Trayson just wants to wrestle with dad, which results in a very late dinner for Trenton. Some of Trayson's new words in the last month are: movie, milk, and thank you. Every once in a while I think I hear a new word coming out of him, but it isn't consistent enough for me to consider them new words. As for Addison, well let's just say she is hilarious. She LOVES school and dancing! The other day I had a rare day off from school and so I was talking to her about going swimming at Little America with Grandma Tammy while I was stuck at SEP night at school. She started telling me that there had been "a terrible accident at school." I thought oh no what kind of mess did your teacher have to deal with. Then she proceeded to tell me that one of the packages of crackers we sent for snack had been opened. I asked her what they did  and she told me using her hands for actions that she picked it up really carefully and then ate it and threw the wrapper in the trash. It was so funny to watch her and listen to her. Later on that night I had her repeat the problem to her dad and at the end of her conversation with him she proceeded to tell him that he wasn't a very good snack packer so mom would do it next time. She is keeping us on toes. So far this year has been great, and I am sure there is a lot more fun to be had for our family this year.

Happy New Year!!!

New Year's Eve was a blast. We spent the night hanging out with Grandma Tammy and Grandpa Tracy's. We played games, had confetti poppers (not sure what the official name of them is but there was confetti and string everywhere).Addi made it until Midnight and watched the ball drop with us. Can't wait for next year!

Waiting for more string to fly.

The little ones wanted nothing to do with pictures. They were only interested in chasing string.
